Thursday: We board the coach this morning and make our way south. We make a stop in the Cotswold town of Cirencester. Its diverse range of shops means that Cirencester is a popular shopping destination, with its mix of chain stores and local shops it really does have something for everyone. You will find a range of independent shops standing alongside well-known high-street names. We depart in the afternoon and make our way to our hotel in time to freshen up before our evening meal.
Friday: We travel to Goodwood House to be part of a very special motoring event. The main feature of the Festival is the ‘Hillclimb’ featuring rare and priceless cars going up one by one, often with celebrities either driving or sitting in the passenger seat. Each year, the event welcomes the world’s biggest car manufacturers who attempt to outdo each other with ever more elaborate stands, activities, and star appearances. Across the site there are F1 racing cars, motorbikes and aviation and air displays, all adding up to a spectacular fun-filled day. We return to the hotel in time for dinner.
Saturday: We visit Winchester before heading back to Leicestershire. Explore more than 1000 years of history in Europe’s longest medieval Cathedral. Discover the beautiful illuminated Winchester Bible, 12th-century wall paintings, medieval carvings, contemporary art, and the awe and wonder of this magnificent building.
