Celebrating Our Coach Naming Competition Winner

We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a very special guest to our depot - Samantha from Dudley, the winner of our Coach Naming Competition.

As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we invited the public to help us name driver Elton’s newest coach. Elton has a long‑standing tradition of naming the coaches he drives, and both he and his previous coach truly made their mark on the road. This time, Elton and the team at Roberts Travel Group decided to open up the opportunity to our wider community - and we were blown away by the response.

We received so many thoughtful and creative suggestions, each with its own story and meaning. After much discussion, one name stood out above the rest… Harmony.

The winning name was chosen alongside one of our longest‑serving drivers, Elton himself, who will be proudly driving the coach. For Elton, naming his coaches is something he takes great pride in.

“Every coach I drive feels like part of the team, and the name ‘Harmony’ really captures how we work together. It’s lovely to know the name came from someone in the community too”  Elton shared.

On the day, Samantha joined us at the depot and finally got to see Harmony in all her glory - the coach she named. There were plenty of smiles, photos and a real buzz as we officially welcomed Harmony to the Roberts fleet. It was a truly fabulous day and an absolute pleasure to have Samantha with us to celebrate the moment.

As a thank you for her winning entry, Samantha received a day trip for two, which we hope she enjoys very much - a little reminder of her part in Roberts history.

This competition wasn’t just about naming a coach. It was about celebrating 30 years of Roberts Travel Group, the people who travel with us, and the community that continues to support us.
